Georgia Cosmetology License

The process for getting a Georgia cosmetology license in cosmetology, nail technology, or skin care from the Georgia (GA) State Board of Cosmetology, all students must fulfill the Georgia cosmetology license requirements listed below. HAIR DESIGN: 1325 Hours, Apprenticeship 2650
ESTHETICIAN: 1000 Hours, Apprenticeship 2000 Hours
NAIL TECHNICIAN: 525 Hours, Apprenticeship 1050 Hours

Reciprocity
Should an applicant have a current cosmetology, hair design, nail technician or esthetician license from another state, country, or the District of Columbia, where similar reciprocity is extended to this state and licensure requirements are substantially equal to those in this state. The applicant must pay a fee and then a license may be issued, without examination, a certificate of registration at the appropriate level entitling him or her to practice that occupation.
